Super Cute. . . .----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, today, er, yesterday now, was "date day" for me 'n Graham, so he took me to the movies early in the morning (cuz we went to see two), making a whole day/"adventure" of it.

First we saw "The Princess and the Frog," which was reallllllllllly cute and beautiful, visual-wise. About DAMNED time that Disney goes old school again, just as I'd grown up with. Tired of all of their "no longer impressive/sadly expected/kinda boring computer animated shit."
IMO, this film redeemed them in some way (which isn't really saying much, considering their dark past...cough lol I mean, seriously. Featuring dark magic/souls/demons, and killing an innocent bug like "whatever," even though they know the lil' kiddies will watch? Crazy LoL) by going old school.
Anyway, I felt even lazier after watching it, though, because since last YEAR, I had always planned on drawing my own Princess Tiana art, but never got around to it. At first it was cuz of other projects, but then it turned into laziness.

But now I feel a bit more inspired, again.

So tomorrow I'll probably try to start drawing her...yeah. LoL
But yeah. That movie's extra special to me (and Graham), at first, because ever since seeing her, I always thought that Tiana looks SO much like my sister, especially when she was a teenager.

But my sis was always all, "no no no, you're smoking something" or w/e whenever I'd say so. LoL
But of COURSE, a few weeks back, her b/f says the same, and SUDDENLY she's all "Oh yeah..hmm...I guess so!" ~_~' But whatever works; it's still true. ^_^
But by far, the most significant, special part for Graham and I was
(SPOILER-TIME, FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T SEEN IT YET
) when the firefly, Ray, sang his love song for the North Star, whom he affectionately (and appropriately, considering its name meaning and "influence" later on and throughout the film ^_^), Evangeline.
It made me squeal like a goof in the theatre, because that's long since been the decided name for our first baby girl.

And now, even better, we can sing to her the really beautiful song of Ray's, "Ma Belle Evangeline"
(AGAIN, SPOILER-TIME, FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T SEEN IT YET
)Look how she lights up the sky,
Ma Belle Evangeline.
So far above me yet I,
Know her heart belongs to only me.
J'adore, J'taime Evangeline,
You're my queen of the night,
So still,
So bright.
That someone as beautiful as she,
Could love someone like me.
Love always finds a way it's true!
And I love you, Evangeline.
Look how she lights up the sky,
I love you, Evangeline. . . .That whole song/scene made me cry like a baby. ^_________^ Can't wait to sing that song to my baby boo

So, yeah. It was reallllllllllly adorable LoL *Purrs*
And then, after that, we did a lil' shopping and ate lunch, until around 3 pm, when the movie that Graham really wanted to see b/w the two (with the reverse for me

) came on, "Avatar."
Honestly, I never paid any attention to the promos and info about it, and I was just like "whatever" and indifferent to seeing it, but obviously went because Graham really wanted to see it (and since he knew I really wanted to see TPatF, it was only "fair," after all ^_^).
And then I kept getting turned off to see it even further, because he wouldn't shut up about "It's THE most expensive film ever made, over $300 million to make, and FIVE computers" to handle whatever the hell he said that I made a point to forget by now. LoL

Ya know, just his geekism shining through, as always. ^_^
But yeah. After spending nearly 3 hours in it, and watching the 3D version, honestly? It was a beautiful film, visual wise, pretty cliché, plot-wise, but great, overall.
And now, I want my own Avatar.

Sigourney Weaver's Avatar was REALLY adorable, and looked just like her (which, duh, was the whole point, yes, I know). Just saying they did a great job.

Maybe I'll draw myself as an Avatar. LoL
Only thing is, I feel bad for Graham, because he couldn't enjoy the 3D version at all, because of his colorblindness.

First, it was the X-Mas show last year that he couldn't enjoy, the very beginning (which is in 3D, when Santa's flying into NYC and into Radio City Music Hall, blah blah, for those who know what I'm talking about and have gone to see the show, themselves), and now this.

It REALLY depressed him and made him feel cheated, out of the experience, obviously, and his money. But like he said, he really wanted to fully enjoy it, and thought that this specific 3D format would've been different.

He's honestly never normally limited, or feel limited, rather, about his colorblindness, but I guess it sort of stung him a bit tonight.

And I feel all the worse because duh, I can't/fix it, and because HE really wanted to see/enjoy that movie while I hadn't originally, but ended up doing so a bit more than he. . . .

But . . . yeah. Besides that unfortunate setback, we both had a great day out together.

And now, I'm off to read more TPatF fanfics (and maybe even write one, myself . . . doubt it LoL)! ^__________^
To any fellow writers out there, specifically fanfiction, methinks I would rather fancy a fic focusing upon Tiana's best (and very amusing/adorable hehe) friend, Charlotte, in the aftermath of the movie events. Maybe even about her waiting for Naveen's lil' brother to grow up.

OR even an unrequited love story of her fancying Tiana, I don't care. LoL
But, yeah! ^_^
So! . . . how was everyone else's day?
