To Crimson from Golden

Once upon a dream I'll see her there,
A statuesque beauty with hair so fair.
With eyes so cool, as a cerulean night,
And skin so pale, as a new day's light.
She is the Goddess who governs all life,
So grand and just be her unparalleled might.
She is the one wherein my heart resides,
Never shall it desire that it divide. . . .
O, alas, I must wonder what befalling is this
That curiously, such dreams have gone to the abyss?
Dreams which are simple, dreams which are pure,
Have now left me feeling so jarred and unsure.
Try as I might, I cannot understand,
What foul trickery that perhaps is at hand.
Is it pure madness, one that's unspoken
To turn these dreams . . . to crimson from golden?

I know it says 'by Caleb 'Virgilio,' just in case I get people who haven't read the story this poem's featured in and go, "Omg! You stole it!"

It's mine; I wrote it.
It's from my W.I.T.C.H. story, "The Royal Guardian," (link to said story here, for those interested: [link] ) featured within Chapter Forty-Eight, when Will Vandom is helping out Caleb (whose last name he'd chosen to be 'Virgilio' while he attends the girls' high school, thanks to Taranee's help -- In the name choosing, that is).
And this was one of the poems she'd found that he'd written . . . which only honestly left her feeling all the more confused about the mysterious ex-Rebel Leader.
Don't bother telling me it sucks or it could be better or any of that hoopla, since 1, I've been out of the 'poetry game' for about a decade now, so I'm bound to be rusty. But I'd wanted to write something personal/from me for that chapter/for Caleb once Will found/read it, rather than either ask someone else to do it for me or whatever. And then reason numbah 2, if it DOES suck, that's the whole reason why Caleb was/is getting insight from Will in the first place.
I personally like it...it's grown on me.
